What Does An Organiser Do? Organisers: Use life experience, natural ability, skills and experience to help volunteers in their area. Attract new volunteers through local newspaper articles, posters in libraries, and other ways they decide upon. Discuss with new volunteers what they would like to do and the amount of time they can give. Organisers take up references. Find placements for new volunteers. Keep records of numbers of members, liaise with schools who accept volunteers, meet with other organisers, but give only as much time as they wish to. You will have the support and encouragement of your local co-ordinator. |
